Whetstone works with over 300 schools nationally, each with a different teacher observation and feedback process. We built Whetstone to be flexible because we know that no two schools are alike. Whetstone schools get to customize their site with a robust feature set to match their style of teacher coaching, with year-long support from our Customer Success team to continually innovate and experiment to help their teachers grow.
Uncommon's “Leverage Leadership” model of observation and feedback puts leaders in classrooms every day, observing, sharing feedback, and identifying action steps to help teachers grow. Uncommon switched from spreadsheets to Whetstone to make it easier to identify trends and deliver data-driven PD.
KIPP DC, KIPP Bay Area, KIPP Austin, KIPP ENC, and KIPP NOLA use Whetstone to make observation and feedback streamlined and consistent across all schools in each region. Each KIPP region has adapted Whetstone to fit its unique process.
The Relay Graduate School of Education’s National Principal Academy Fellowship is designed to develop principals that provide highly effective observation and feedback to teachers. Whetstone helps Relay assess the efficacy of its programming to provide effective curriculum to its fellows.
Bright Star Schools uses Whetstone to manage its teacher-centered observation process. Based in California, Teachers at the Bright Start network engage in self-reflection and receive targeted observations and feedback based on their level of experience.
Whetstone and YES Prep worked together to build a feature that streamlines the district’s complex end-of-year HR processes. The district can now fairly and consistently track growth, and promote teachers through the 31-levels on the YES Prep career continuum.
STRIVE Prep switched to Whetstone from TalentEd because it needed a modern, flexible platform with a simple workflow that matched the needs of its high-performing school leaders. STRIVE’s 13 schools use Whetstone to manage both weekly teacher coaching and annual teacher evaluation requirements.
